By bus to Kimitoön

During summer months experiencing Kimitoön and the archipelago by public transportation is nice and easy. A direct bus connection, the Archipelago HopOn, from Kamppi in Helsinki takes you via Dalsbruk and Kasnäs all the way to the Rosala and Hitis islands three times a week. Another option, Ö-bussen, takes you through the villages of Västanfjärd to the Dalsbruk summer market on Wednesdays.

With the help of the HopOn connection you are able to plan various routes to unforgettable destinations around the Kimitoön islands, no matter what your interest is. Check out our tips for Living like a local, for Exploring the main island or the destinations further out in the Archipelago Sea. Don’t forget to add cycling and ferry/boat trips to your holiday. Carfield rents out cycles in several places around the area, so you don’t need to take one from your home.

Ö-bussen leaves from Kimito center on Wednesday mornings. The timetable is set so that you can combine the route with bus connections to and from Helsinki or Turku. The final stop of Ö-bussen is the lively seaside ironworks village Dalsbruk. However, you may hop on or off also at bus stops for instance by Bjärkas Golf, B&B and restaurant Kansakoulu or the Lammala nature trails.
