Kimitoön at the Matka Travel Fair
Matka Travel Fair 2025 will take place on 16th to 19th of January at the Helsinki Exhibition Centre. Kimitoön will participate in the fair with 9 exhibitors and share the stand with Hanko, Raseborg and Salo. Come and say hello to us at section 6r48!
What we offer at the fair
At our stand this year you can, among other things,
- discover the Coastal Route bike route, which runs through Kimitoön, Hanko, Raseborg and Salo, and its interesting attractions
- try delicious local food products and buy them to bring home with you from our Archipelago Shop
- find out about events, products and offers related to Kimitoön’s 700th anniversary year
- take part in prize draws
- discover the wide range of activities and accommodation options in Kimitoön
There will also be live music, and goodiebags for the fastest visitors!
With the 700th anniversary celebrations now underway, it’s the perfect opportunity to explore Kimitoön and all it has to offer!

Matka Travel Fair offers an inspiring journey through hundreds of destinations, both in Finland and abroad. Answer the survey and win great prizes
Throughout the weekend, you can participate in a prize draw at our stand where we will draw 700 € worth of gift vouchers to Kimitoön’s tourist destinations.
Entering the competition is simple:
- Scan the QR code at the stand
- Answer the short questionnaire
- Leave your email address to enter the draw
Those who complete the questionnaire will be entered into a prize draw for 3 gift vouchers (1 x 500 € & 2 x 100 €). The winners may choose to spend the gift card at any of the destinations or companies that are exhibiting at Kimitoön’s stand.
The winners of the draw will be notified by e-mail.
Kimitoön 700 years
Kimitoön is celebrating 700 years in 2025! The anniversary celebrations will take place throughout the year, featuring events focused on culture, art, environment, archipelago, and local life. The highlight will be the festival week from June 9–15, with the main event, Fest700, in Dalsbruk on June 14. In addition, local associations and actors will offer a wide range of activities throughout the year – a fantastic opportunity to experience the best of Kimitoön!
