Nordic Gravel Series
Venue: Söderlångvik Manor | City: Kimitoön
With 85 000km of gravel roads, 168 000 lakes and 78% of the total country covered in forests Finland is a dream destination for gravel riders. Add the “everyman’s right", allowing you to roam the countryside, forage, fish and enjoy the recreational use of natural areas, and you have a perfect setting for bike(packing) adventures. The Nordic Gravel Series promotes and supports organized graveI events in different regions throughout Finland and the Nordics. During the June-August period we take advantage of the midsummer sun and daylight offering excellent riding conditions.
The event starts and finishes at the unique Söderlångvik Manor in Dragsfjärd. The 130 km route goes around the southern part of Kimito Island and passes historical landmarks, like Dalsbruk and Västanfjärd, Kimito and Dragsfjärd churches.
The terrain is hilly and undulating, a paradise of small gravel roads passing through wilderness-like forests. In the end you get rewarded with stunning seaside vistas from Ölmos to Purunpää. Route distances of 40, 85 and 130km. The event is limited to 500 participants.
The event welcomes riders from all levels and fitness and is not a timed race. We (partly) ride on public roads and ask you to respect traffic rules. We have the exclusive right to use private roads for the day, so do not use or share the event routes prior to or after the event . Respect the environment and your fellow riders.
The Nordic Gravel Series are setup by breakaway.cc in collaboration with local event partners and Visit Kimitoon. Additional services like bike rentals, bike and participant shuttle services and accommodation are available on the event page.
